Our seasoned firewood is all northern hardwoods such as oak, maple, ash and birch. All of our firewood has been seasoned for 12 months or longer before we sell it to our customers. It is cut into 16" lengths, designed to fit most home fireplaces and wood stoves. It is typically sold by the cord, which is, in volume, about 128 square feet. We also sell it by the cubic foot, for customers who don't need a full cord. This is equal to a carefully stacked 4' x 4' x 8' stack. We offer multiple cord discounts and can supply you with bulk loads up to 16 cords in size.
We suggest you store your wood on a pallet or other surface that is at least 6" off the ground, to allow air to circulate beneath the wood. You should cover the top with a tarp or roof of some kind to protect it from getting soaked by rain and snow. You should not, however, cover up the sides of the wood pile, as firewood needs air to remain in good, burnable condition. You don't need to wait till fall or winter to buy firewood as we start selling it in July.
